Annie Smith is a Bay Area based performer and teacher. She holds an MM in voice from San Francisco Conservatory and a BM in voice from Boston Conservatory. Recent operatic roles include Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, Nella in Gianni Schicchi, and Pamina in Die Zauberflöte. She performs regularly with Oakland based hip-hop chamber group Ensemble Mik Nawooj, who recently made their east coast debut at the Apollo Music Cafe in Harlem.
Jennifer Wu earned her Bachelor of Music in Music Education and Voice, and Bachelor of Education from Wilfrid Laurier University, and is currently in the midst of completing her Master of Arts in Community Music. She is an alumna of the Royal Conservatory of Music and a member of the Ontario College of Teachers. As a performer, Jennifer’s credits include, Cherubino in The Marriage of Figaro (Opera Laurier), and Hänsel in Hänsel und Gretel (Opera Laurier), as well as solo and collaborative recitals.
Joseph worked in the education field for the past 12 years with students from kindergarten through high school. He as been conducting for churches and church choirs for the past 5 years. Recently, he was asked to be a student conductor at CSUEB where he conducted a secondary instrument ensemble, and the 4th movement of Beethoven's Mass in C Major. He is also the bass section leader for the CSUEB East Bay singers under the director of Dr. Buddy James. He also runs his private vocal studio, and sings for various choirs and programs throughout the Bay Area.
Joyce Ting - Program Director
Joyce Ting holds a Bachelors and Masters of Music in Vocal Performance from Wheaton College (IL) and Boston University, as well as a Masters in Education for Middle School Humanities from Lesley University. She debuted with the Boston Lyric Opera as La Charmeuse in Massenet's Thais, went on to sing in multiple productions with BLO, and performed in Opera Boston's Boston-based premiere of Osvaldo Golijov's Ainadamar. She is a graduate of Luna Dance Institute's SI program, and has also taken part in Alameda Department of Education's Integrated Learning Specialist Program. She looks forward to continuing her mission to bring arts and creativity access to every child.

Mike Wilson has over 20 years of business management and consulting experience in both the private and nonprofit sectors, with a focus on strategic planning and program management. His clients include local and state educational institutions , research foundations, and the federal government (DOE, DOL), as well as many Fortune 500 companies (IBM, Ford Motor Company, Robert Half Inc.). His work has led to over $15 million in public investment in the past 10 years, leveraging significant private industry participation in education and training projects for the benefit of career seekers, incumbent workers, industry, and educational organizations.
